WIFE is an open source Java library for SWIFT messages parsing, writing and processing.
The components are heavily tested and running in production environments since 2005.
Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication
(SWIFT) operates a worldwide financial
messaging network. The majority of international interbank messages
use the SWIFT network. As of April 2006 SWIFT linked almost 8000
financial institutions in 205 countries.
Although SWIFT offers several solutions and products, organizations may have
particular needs. That is to say, usability and Legacy Systems
integration usually require organizations to adapt and to construct
custom SWIFT message handling applications; where WIFE comes in hand.
- Parsing of SWIFT MT messages into SwiftMessage Java objects.
- Writing SWIFT MT messages from SwiftMessage Java objects.
- De/Serialization of SwiftMessage objects into XML.
- Hibernate mappings for SwiftMessage objects simplify persitence in applications.
All SWIFT message categories (MT0xx to MT9xx) are supported,
including System and Service message. The current version is compliant with ISO 15022.

This library is primarily intended for companies and
institutions who would like to take advantage of modern
applications build as wrappers of the standard default SWIFT
interchange products. It can be used for example to
build a SOA component to centralize all SWIFT messages handling, or
as a core component in a SwiftNet Link interface solution.
